You are better off with out the flight stabilzer. Once you've been trained well enough to fly figure 8's, take off, and land, the flight stabilizer will cause you more problems than it solves. It is designed to correct a stalled or nose down condition for a pilot who is not able to do it themselves. Once you have enough skill, especially since you have an instructor helping you, you are better off having full control of the plane yourself.
