I'm thinking about getting the firestorm flux - newest version. I know this is somewhat awkward...but is this newer version better than the newest version of the Rustler VXL? I just want something that is durable and yet powerful enough for jumps (not crazy high ones) and gravel/dirt fun.

I would go with the storm over a rusty any day the storm's running castle based esc and motors. i've had no durability issues with it other than a broken shock, but that was a direct hit to the shock body and kinda fluke.
