Default G62 for a 77" P-47?

I'm moving away from glow, towards gasoline engines, and I have a 77" P-47 that currently has a 1.80 Moki on the nose. To be honest, I haven't flown it, because I suspected the Moki was not enough engine. I have access to a Zenoah G62, that I'm considering using, but now I'm feeling I'll have too much engine. The plane weighs 20lbs, and is a kit built or scratch built, not sure of the maker. It is covered in fabric and dope. I bought the plane used, and had one of my flying buddies rework it in the same style it was originally built with, ie fabric/dope. It is one of my favorite planes, but, as I said, I have not flown it because I have felt that the Moki was not enough engine. So, guys, tell me.....is the Moki enough..and the G62 too much, or is the G62 the right engine, and the Moki too small? I have no idea as to what engine was originally on it. I appreciate any advice you guys might be willing to share, but please be kind, as I know this may be a stupid question to some of you.
