RE: Dr.J Bipe Pics
Well I"ve got about 8 flights on it and went through the intermediate pattern with it for the first time last night. I moved the CG forward which seemed to help some of the coupling. The CG is at the front edge of the bottom wing or about midspan on the top wing. I've mixed dual rate rudder to the throttle (low rate at high throttle) at that has made the plane much easier to fly, as with full rudder you can get some viscious coupling at higher speeds. At low rate rudder I have mixed out the coupling. Anyway, I could get through the pattern just about as good as with my Jupiter. What's interesting about flying it is engine off (I ran out of fuel twice now with it!) it'll glide as good as any pattern plane I've owned. Not like my Ultimate which drops like a rock with no power.
I'll fly it in the District 4 championships on the 20th. This will probably be my last post on this subject!
