Default GP U-Can-Do engine mount

Hello,
Not sure if this has been mentioned here. I am assembling a Great Planes u-can-do 3D .46 ARF. I am at the point of mounting the engine (Magnum XL .70FS 4 stroke). The blind nuts for the motor mount are offset to the left and the instructions say that this is done so the spinner will be on center-line of the fuse. I have the mount on the firewall but see no way that the engine or spinner will be centered. The engine is to be mounted inverted not on it's side. Is this done to correct thrust issues? Could someone familiar with this plane explain this setup?
