Looking at the capabilities at the moment, an 8 lb board can handle 12 - 15 foot faces.
If we just look at the next level of a 25 - 30 foot face, isn't it possible to have a board at 16 - 20 lb range or less ?

I know my real surf board is under 8 lb at 7'2", and I add another 190 lb, but I'm also the propulsion source
A 40 lb Board sounds like a ton of weight, Why do we need to be so heavy ?
