RE: Don Smith Cessna T-50
.....Very nice work Bob.........I think I have the 1964 issue of RCM that featured these plans...........I purchased a set in 1995 and made plansto build her and then I discovered Don Smith had a 1/5 scale version...........I originally planned to scale the RCM plans up to 1/4 scale............then decided to just gowith the Don Smith plan.........If I can rememberright, the RCM plan made no reference to the cowl construction and I notice that yours looks to be of fiberglass or thin alum........they look great and theattention to detail is very nice.........also, what did you use to build the canopy frame?......that also was not clear on the RCM plans...........and, what does she weigh?...........when I saw your photos it occured to me that I had one on file but dont remember where I found it.....I have been collecting info on this plane for years, which reminds me that I have a copy of this same plane .....also in the Canadian Crane color scheme.........in fact, I thought it was yours, but it turns out that it is not...........I will include a pic so you can see how close they are.
.....Bob, tell us about your project........like, what inspired you to build the Bobcat.....the color scheme........how long did you spend on building her...........what kind of problens did you incounter along the way?
.......and.....welome to this littlegroup.
Rich.
