I have a DLE 20 in mine and it's a solid engine. I made a lot of changes to mine (dual elevator servos, pull-pull rudder) but I didn't feel the need to strengthen any other parts of the plane. I did glue the tail feathers on though.

My only problem with the Pulse is landing it. I'm a competent flyer but it always seems to come in hot and bounce a lot.
