That stuff can be made but I know where you're coming from. For that eye bolt I'd heat wire cherry red on one end then beat the end with a BFH. Then I'd drill the hole, file it round in shape and file the shank down to size. Example: here's pics of strut attach fitting made for a Piper PA-12 in 1/6 scale and full scale photo of item. They are functional. Music wire and brass tubes used. Flats filed on brass tubes to simulate nuts.
