My wife just reminded me of the day we drove into the park in Cincy Oh for a soaring event and two big dogs greeted us by jumping up on my door and and just scratching up terribly the door on my 2 week old Chrysler van. Did I say leash??
We had dogs our whole lives. When the last one got sick and died in spite of the vets efforts and huge vet bill we cried for a week. We just were so sad, and said no more. It is very easy to get and love a dog almost like part off the family, but that is just a small part of good dog ownership. OK fat lady it's your turn.. Brian
