It adds drag...sure it reduces lift too, mainly in the aileron area near the tip. On a glider wing its a good thing, its used with huge angles on a wing with massive lift. On a Jet I only want drag, the UF wing loading is "nice" on landings as it is. But like everyone says, if it works for you...
