My G-38 is using the same muffler as yours. I changed the magneto to an electronic ignition, it gives me better idle and reduce a little bit of weight from the nose. I'll be using the stock cowl but plan to get the fiberglass one ( plus wheel pants) this Xmas. Let's see what happens now.
