Hi Duane,
I sealed all hinge gaps with clear Monokote. My Simla flies very nicely with the following control throws:
Aileron up/down 0.375" measured at the wing root
Elevator up/down 0.75" at the root
Rudder L/R 1.375" at rudder bottom
I hope this helps.
Has anyone finished their Simla with silk and dope? If so, I would like to know how much weight that technique adds to the bare air frame.
