If you end up at RC tanks from another discipline of RC, you'll be shocked by the lack of interest or info. RC Cars, boats, planes and helis are infinitely more popular and therefore backed up by websites, magazines, shows and vendors.

If you are coming from armor modeling, the sparse RC tanks that are around are great and any info is gravy, but you'll find yourself isolated. You can build a 1/35 static modeling and get tons of help and info, mention it's 1/16 RC and you'll hear crickets.

Tamiya extended their model kit and RC range into RC tanks as a pet project of Tamiya-san himself and Heng Long and a few others are adding to the line as well, but I'd lay cash on the ratio of RC pilots to tankers is about 100:1.

Consider yourself either a member of the modeling elite or a RC red-headed step child, but there's not too many in this sandbox.
