Default RE: Need some guidance on fuel

One thing that has been overlooked so far is oil content that is too low. If there are lots of nitro buggies on the shelf at your local hobby shop, be very cautious of buying fuel as many shops tend to carry fuel for what they sell and, unfortunately, most car fuels run in the 7-12% range, too low for either a plane or boat engine. Something else to be aware of is some fuel manufacturers don't even list the oil type or content of their product on the label. Unless you're willing to take the time to do some research on the fuel being sold, if it don't say how much or what kind of oil is used in the mix on the label, protect your engine and dont buy it
