I get out to the Vernon Field a lot in winter mostly by Myself but there are three or four others that come out with the winter sun and one of us has a Plow Truck and keeps the road open, 170 membersin the Vernon club and only a handful will venture out in the cool winter air.Grindrod still has five that are out every Sunday and snow storms permitting three of them get some flights in.
I have been busy here with renovations and it's only ten minuets to the Vernon field from home so a couple of flights are easy to fit in now and than. Guess I'm just old school and still love flying off the snow in a clear blue winter sky.
With the holiday season over I am going to start going to Grindrod on Sundays starting this Sunday. Funtana 50x on Floats and the 110 Rascal on skis will fit in the truck.
