for me, its more fun to win when you dont have the ''best'' equipment. When we raced oval, I was faster than my friends NEW losi xxx and I could tell it bugged him. It wouldnt have bothered him if he'd been beat by a sc10/blitz/xxx ect. Getting beat by a lowly torment tho, thats gotta sting!
Victory is soooo much sweeter when you win and are considered the underdog
Plus the looks on the peoples faces that own expensive gear when they contort just add to the pleasure...
Not raced RC's, but I've done it in other things, I've gotten some insanely competitive people so mad I've had 30-50lb objects flung at my head(REALLY glad they were so mad they couldn't aim properly) also seen a few walls get holes punched through em
I guess its a good thing I dropped out of being competitive as someone probably would have killed me by now with how I like to win
