Stupid covering mistake on GP 182 ARF, please help...
I trimmed the covering of the pre-covered horiz stab on my GP 182 ARF as instructed so it could be glued into the fuselage, and decided to re-stick the edge of remaining covering along the cut edge with an iron. However, I guess it was a bit hot and it shrunk the covering to the point where there is about 1/8" of wood showing on the stabilizer when sitting in the fuselage. What is the best functional fix for this? Should I...
1. glue the stab in place, then cover the exposed area w/ CA and paint it white?
2. trim some extra pieces of white monokote and cover it up before installing.
3. re-cover the entire stab (BLAH!).
