Truth be told Zor, I have not yet tried the Minwax Polyurethane process yet, so PLEASE share what works for you.
I have always either used monokote/ultrakote or on my fully sheeted pattern or Scale warbird planes I fiberglassed the entire plane.
Back in the day of my control line flying I used silkspan and dope.
