But my HUGE question is if i could find an aftermarket transmission the i could fit inside my db and buy metal gears or use the ones that might come with it

also could be from an RTR with a good tranny like Slash,Sc10, ETC

I find that hard to believe.

I've had my DB/SC for about 2 years and never had reason to touch the transmission (all gears are original) other than to refresh the grease and oil the bearings.

Whatever you're doing to kill this tranny, you will kill any other kind of tranny.
