This may be a really stupid question.

Is there any minimum distance required between the receiver and the speed controller? Converting a free flight model to RC and not much room in the fuse. Using a Futaba R6004FF receiver and a Castle Thunderbird 9 speed control. As things stand they would be above each other with about 3/8" between them.
