I have a Wild Hawk I modified years ago with an overpowered Venom motor and some Chicom ESC.. The ESC is mounted outside on the pod and the receiver is inside about 2 inches below. I use the Assan 2.4 and this is the only plane that give me a few glitches every now and then. I tried a carbon fiber receiver and it still does it so I can only blame the ESC. I have a ferrite ring on the ESC receiver wire so it is either a very noisy ESC or it's just too close to the receiver.
You may be alright using a better ESC.
