RE: Help with v-hull configuration
2 x 6000Mah lipos-30c in series on a 442 is close but a 440 would be best. Series at 14.8 on a 440 would run cooler. Weight of boat MUST be considered in this decision. This is a suggestion only.Don't forget motor cooling and esc. ESC- T-180 would be better. Now after rereading about 1S and 2S combo don't try unless you know exactly what you know about lipos. Best to havematching lipos as you have a decent boat, so why cheapen it with a cheap setup, doesn't jive.- Hold it!! You said in post 1 that u want to use 2S lipo 6000 maH right. Now it is 3S, new ballgame. Use 3S in a single pack cost plenty. Better off to use 2 lipos in parallel at 3000mah per pack for balance of cg and etc. This gives you 6000maH and you can place the lipos on each side of motor with a t-180 esc. The weight of 2 lipos at 3000mah each will almost weigh less than 1 6000maH at a high C rating of 50 c rating Higher the C rating, the weight increases. Do some checking around.-2650 on 3S =29,000 and at t-180 esc watercooled and 2 lipos run in parallel for 6000maH with motor can cooled and a 440 prop. When you have a lower kv motor and use a high voltage lipo, things run a little cooler and are easier on motor and esc. Hope this all helps. I'm retired and combo will be real close to what your posting mentions. Say when you get it running let all know how close it is for what your after, ok! I want you to succeed, cause rc boating is FUN and you can help others. Have a good day!
