Welcome to the hobby. You will be addicted before you know it. Before you jump in with both feet let me make one suggestion. Unless you are endowed by excessive funds, and even if you are, I would suggest a good reliable 2 stoke engine for your first plane. TT, OS or Magnums would be my suggestion. When learning to fly, occasionally mishaps happen, and it would be a shame to put an expensive engine at risk. In addition, if you stay in the hobby, this will not be you only engine. You will soon be adding to your fleet.
It appears you are committed to the hobby, and in as such your choice of radio is excellent. Your choice of trainers are fair. I wish I could help you about the two you have suggested, but have not flown either. Perhaps a 4 star 40 may be on your list as well. Great flyer, look good and can be used as a trainer. This is just my 2 cents worth, usually based on saving a few bucks. Good luck. Perhaps others can advise you on the opinions of the two planes you have
