Congrats, sounds like your doing quite well. An mcpx is a challenge but is nice size wise to crash and get back to flying quickly. Plus crash repair prices aren't that bad either.
Definitely concentrate on the 4 basic orientations: tail in, nose in, right side, and left side. Getting these basics down to the point where you don't need to think of what corrections to make, you just make them is key for later on.
When you decide your ready to move up to a larger bird you may want to start checking into a simulator as well...will help in learning new moves without having to worry about the crash cost factor.
