Hi,
This is an old thread. But since I stumbeled over it and know the answer what the plane is that shown in the first post, that was the original question by user nhblacksmith in this thread,I say it is a Pilot
Five Star

I have one myselfso I'm 100% sure. It is not thePilot Sky Knight that was suggested (but Sky Knigt and Five Star are very similar). Sky Knight has a wingspan of 1320 mm / 52 inch ( a 40 seize machine), Five star has wingspanof 1620 mm / 63.8 inch (60 seize machine). Sky Knight as straight wing and stab leading edge, Five Star has swept wing and stab leading edge.
Some pictures of Five Star and Sky Knight below. Assembly manual in PDF for Pilot Five Star also attached below. Probably not many of these has survived to today, but I have one. Pilot Five Star, Sky Knight, Cavalier and similar "ARF's" was made from about 1971 to 1977 or perhaps some years more.
