Ihad a simular problem when I first set up my radio. I am not using the Futaba but it may help you as well. I went through the process step by step and just looked passed the screen that told me to center all sticks. I left the throttle all the way down instead of in the middle and that caused all kinds of problems. The other thing I did wrong was I did not choose the heli option in the begenning.
