We did it as rank beginners. We used an Ultra Stick with a SuperTigre 2500 and towed a 4 meter Discus. We put the towplane hook right behind the wing on top of the fuse and of course the sailplane must be towed from the nose. We used 125 foot of 1/8"- 3/16"??? braided nylon rope with brick masons line as loops on either end. It was actually easy and fun. The towplane was a little slow for the Discus so I had to either hold a touch of elevator or raise the spoilers just a tad since the sailplane kept wanting to over run the towplane. Keep your wings level and let the towplane pull the nose around the turns.
