RE: Noob to War Plane
The spinner nuts do works and they are trouble free, but the plastic ones also work. I use both depending on the plane and don't have any trouble. For an all plastic spinner, take a piece of open mesh plumber's sandcloth or drywall sander and make a washer to go between the back plate and prop. 99% of the problems people report with plastic spinners are from the prop turning and breaking the spinner. With the washer and proper torque, that won't happen.
On your list, the latter 2 props are too big. Get a few 11x5 APC or MAS props and call it good. There's really no reason to experiment on that. An electric starter and battery for it will save you untold headaches so I'll recommend one (it doesn't matter which one you buy. They all work). A field box/tool box is very handy stocked with every kind of spare fastener you might need along with a bottle of thin and medium CA, some clear packing tape (for covering repairs in the field) and a set of basic hand tools will save your flying day occasionally. You'll also need a glow driver and charger for it.
