I can't agree because the Dash didn't have digital proportional controls. The steering servo would swing full left or right and "wiggles" at the end of it's travel to find the center point. The only thing that could be shared with hobby grade vehicles were the body, battery, wheels/tires and shocks. The new TC10 / 12 look like some thought went into them compared to the image below. The new cars appear to use standard electronics too.
