Ok guys, embarrassing to say but the problem was I had the bind plug in the wrong port. I looked at it again and thought I would try it in another port and presto! The 9020 receiver is very unclear the way it's marked. Thanks for all the info. This is a great thread I've learned a lot more than what my original post was about.
Great to hear it worked.. I guess the bind position on some JR RX is incorrectly labelled.. one of minedefinately is.. .
