Hi All
Over the years I have tried most all fuels available hear in the U.S. and have had all of the problems mentioned above etc:etc: but about 5 years back my flying buddy and I switched to 100LL Avegas ya it cost about 5 bucks a gal. But it does mot smell does not sour and if I buy gas late in the season and let it sit in my can for 5 + months of winter it works as well as it did when I bought it, Also it does not smell it burnes clean we use 2 mix's 50 : 1 and 100 :1 . Have not had any carb problems as I/we leave them wet have not had fuel lines get hard. but I/we do change them every outher season we have all gasser's 23 CC to 100 CC I am not saying this is the best way only that it wotks vary well for us, and has eliminated our fuel related problems.
Cheers Bob T
I agree totally. I've notseenmuch negative over the past 3+ years that I've used avgas.
It does produce slightly less power than premium autogas. but that doesn't matter at all in my application (top level aerobatics)
