First problem, the Twinstars had the worst covering ever. I ended up recovering mine after strips of trim started coming off in flight and even solvent or heat was no help. I have heard that the newest Twinstars have better covering and that is no longer a problem?
I do use "Q" tips with the solvent, a very little goes a long ways. It is great for cleaning up a heat iron or color smears from covering.
