Default RE: Identify unknown engines

ORIGINAL: vertical grimmace

This G 62 was the main reason I bought the box. I was looking at it in the dark and was not really sure what I had. I was impressed with this G38 as well. Not sure about these ignitions, but they certainly have a good reputation.
So what is the starting procedure with that RCA jack? Is the ignition battery kept behind the backplate on these engines? Then a substitute battery is needed to get it running?

Again any info would be great. I fly warbirds mostly, so, I think these engines will all be usefull. I am not trying to get the light weight powerhouse like the IMACC guys.

Not bad for $150 huh?
Again I think a G-38 and G-62. Done buy RC ignitions.Very good reliable engines .OK as is with throttle coupled spark advance.Ign is in the engine mount R.C.A. jack iis for battery feed
