RE: Western Regional Dawn Patrol (Feb. 23)
No, I left my DSLR with the telephoto lens at home (in Japan). I was hoping that someone else would post some photos. It really was a nice event and the weather was California Perfect. The organizers said that they hoped the event would grow each year until it became a sort of "West Coast Rhinebeck." They're hoping to have a grass strip ready by next year...in addition to the current "composite" strip.
Seems like almost all of the big Dawn Patrols take place in the midwest...with a few more in the south. But this event proved that there is no shortage of skilled WWI modelers or just plain friendly folk out here in California.
