Paul, I'll echo what the others said. You're definitely on the right track.

I've noticed several things the field has that the sim doesn't:

- knocking knees
- shortness of breath
- other pilots
- shifting winds
- noise
- bugs
- sun

It's good to practice on the sim, but there's nothing like being at the field!
