So I use to run electric boats probably almost 10+ years ago now when I use to live in New Jersey. Now I'm down here in Florida and I'm building another gas boat to add to my collection but because I live in Florida home of the pond around every corner I'm thinking about building an electric boat to run on these smaller ponds due to them being quiet and neighbors not getting fed up with the loudness like gas boats.

Back in the day one of my favorite electric boats was my Andy Kunz's UL-1 Hydro if any of the old timers remember that. I'm looking to get into something similar to that but with all the new technology I have absolutely no idea what I'm looking at anymore.

I'd like to build something myself from preferably a fiberglass hull but I'd like to do it somewhat money conscious as well.

Can someone recommend some parts for me that'll give me a respectable speed like (50-60mph) for between 600-800 dollars?

Is that even possible in this day an age? I'm pretty much open to any ideas, and I'd even be willing to build a Cat or even a Mono as well.

Throw me your eyes, I'm open to almost anything, I'm more concerned about the price rather than what type of hull.

Thanks<br type="_moz" />
