Are both the flying wires AND the landing wires supposed to be functional? I ask because if the landing wires are also to be functional (or at least semi-functional) then I wonder whether using ply for the top pylon is sufficient. I certainly wouldn't trust it. At the very least, I'd want to sandwich a piece of music wire between the ply parts.

But, otherwise, it's looking very good indeed. I almost (almost) don't notice the ''split'' rudder. It would be nice though if the wing roots had a scale ''notch'' in them, however, to allow for the proper shape cowl cheeks.

Abu,
The flying wires are semi-funtional, they were put on to keep the wings from twisting.
The 4 cables were installed to the plywoood "A" post to keep it from a twisting load.......it is plenty strong.
I certianly trust it and we will put it thru the paces Saturday and I'm sure it will be fine.

Cheers,
HPA
