The Eagle Tree system updates 10 times per second, so i think a 10-15 sec line is fine for stable, accurate readings. That is at least 100 GPS positions. Some GPS chips only update 1 time per second, or every 3 seconds, so a longer flight line would be necessary.

BTW, i have no financial interest in Eagle Tree, but I have to say that their instrumentation and software is absolutely first rate.
