Jim...how often are you replacing the electrical tape on the tail fin bottom? Definitely looked like it may have briefly touched the runway on landing. Im running off of pavement, so even a quick scrape wouldnt be a good thing.
Maybe recess a small wheel into the tip of the lower fin? I know of a full size light aircraft that has a small wheel recessed into the bottom of the tail ''skid''. If the wheel was small and positioned such that only a small portion hung out of the fin it would barely be noticable.
The bottom of the fin is not thick enough to get a small wheel recessed inside it unless its like a gws old syle wire spoke plastic thing.
