Default RE: Pattern plane for O.S. geared engine

ORIGINAL: f3d

What pattern planes use the O.S. geared engines in the past ??

Best regards Michael
In the States, the only 60 with reduction I heard about was the Vortex, ca 1985. Don't remember whose design it was (Bonema or Scully design maybe?) Dean Koger flew the model with a 60 (Webra I think) using a belt driven 16x12 woodie (hand carved back then since APC and Landing Prod didn't make the size until much later)
