I use the Sierra Retracts, and they have some forward cant that puts the axles about at the leading edge. You'll need to be about that far forward, or nose overs will be hard to prevent. The Sierra's also do not extend a full 90 degrees, so they help the width of the gear and give the right splayed out look that you expect on a 109.

Sharpeye, I like your cockpit, I was thinking about updating mine. What have you found for a pilot? Will a 1/5 scale pilot work?
