Me too.I use sikaflex nearly the same thing but you can paint it,silicone scares everything paintwise and sika is so strong,just wipe the surface quickly with acetone,press whatever on and it's there for life,you'll have to grind it off.As said above it's perfect for vibration damping of the part it's attached to too
