I usually agree with you on most of your ideas/opinions. On this one I think you are wrong. There are lots of good servos out there that are far less than $100. I just finished my H9 sukhoi and I have 6 Hitec 645's on it and a 805 on the rudder. These servos are all around $40-$48 apiece. Does this mean I somehow did somthing wrong or I short changed myself? I don't think so at all. I have had planes with digitals and I really see no need to spend the extra money. My Sukhoi flys great and I am completely happy with it. These servos have almost as much torque as the expensive digitals. Probably top level fliers could tell the difference between digitals and normal servos, but I bet most normal fliers can't. You can ask JWilliams here no RCU how he feels about $100 servos since one of his locked up and destroyed a $1500 airframe. Paying more does not always mean it will be trouble free.
