A friend had the same problem. What i did was I cut, yes cut the piston housing out with a dremel (I cut it to the point where I was almost at the threads).Then what i did was I took some gasket sealer ( because it was resistant to heat) and spread around the threads of the pipe and the stingers. It seems to work fine now; nice and loud.
