Default RE: GTM 1/2 Scale Fokker Triplane

ORIGINAL: Rebel Flyer

I don't have a clue as to what I am covering it with. I have some extra 1/4 scale wings I can experiment with.

I think I have settled on the final scheme though.

Jasta B or 2. 204/17

Paul Baumer

November 1917

These were at Toledo 08 and I don't know anything about it, other than it is exactly like it should be painted,
without the black wingtips, and 11 crossed painted on it.
Good morning, Rebel Flyer

The 1/3 Fokker Dr.I at Toledo in 2008 is the late Del Johnson's prototype Glenn Torrance Models triplane, and is indeed finished as Baumer's 204/17. Del primarily used the "Fokker Dr.I Aces of WWI" book for most of the color documentation.

Baumer originally has the Iron Crosses on the plane as Del had, then later changed to the straight crosses, along with the black wingtips. Del's build thread was a great hit on RCU here just a few years ago.

Bye the bye - Del took 3rd at Toledo that year with the triplane, after originally not intending to compete at all (the plane instead was going to be featured in the GTM booth).
