Default RE: 180FS Glow to Gas

Hey guys Im trying to decied if Im still over proped, or if im just haveing a real hard tuneing this thing.

I have 6 DLE motors and a few otheres of diffrent brands, Im pretty good at turning.

I broke this motor in on a stand with about 1/2 gal of gas with in 2 days. Now I broke it in with a 16X6 APC got around 9k. Worked great, I then put the 16X10X3 Master air screw cut down to 15X10X3 as this is the prop I want to run on my ESM B25 project. I was able to get a steady 7800rpms. Now it was cold out side, 35deg pluse I had a fan blowing fresh air on the motor.

SO I got it installed into the test plane, a simple gaint Spacewalker 82in wing.

The cooling holes are the best you can get with this type plane, its open in front/ and the whole bottom.

So yesterday I took the bird out to the back yard, and started her up. She ran great unitill WOT. I was only getting 6900rpms or so and it just seemed like it could not get on step, it was 41deg yesterday.

I tried adding and leaning the high end a little with no help.

My boy just got his, evolution 10cc gas, and is running it dripping rich, even at wot, it has a smoke trail. Now I do not, but none of my othere gasers have a smoke trail.

So Im haveing a hard time setting the top end, so should a gasser 4 stroke have a smoke trial? Yes the head feel hotter than it should
