RE: 1/8 brushless motor help
based on jang's review of the mad drift you are going to run into a big issue. The stock motor is basically a 550 long can motor. The motor mount wont fit a larger motor and there is not space for a longer motor. So it may be hard to get a stronger motor that will fit.
I too want the mad drift, as it seems like alot of car for the money. Stock speed is around 35mph. Im sure it could be geared for 50mph...but pushing it beyond that could overheat the motor or esc.
If you want 70mph, the ofna 1/8 GTP-2e electric would be the way to go. you can buy it as a kit for around $200.
