TURNIGY DLUX ESC's AND BMI DATA LOG ESC's-HAVE SOME
VERY SIMILAR FEATURES WITH JETI SPIN / SPIN PRO ESC's

It may seem very surprising that Turnigy dlux and BMI Data Log ESC's have some similar features to JETI ESC's -and I most certainly never expected this. After all, we tend to think of Turnigy dlux as a type of "budget" ESC, that are cheaper than other ESC's like Hacker X-Pro, Airboss and Jeti. We would not automatically tend to put Turnigy dlux ESC's in the same group as these other far more expensive ESC's.
However, here are the facts, like it or not. And the factsare inescapable:

1. Data logging by an ESC is not new. The Jeti / Hacker SPIN range of ESC's have had the ability to do this for several years, and the downloaded data can then be read by the Jeti program box (known as the "Jetibox").
(-Also note that Jeti and Hacker have been very closely associated for several years regarding ESC's -the Jeti SPIN and Hacker "MasterSPIN" ESC's are interchangeable, the Jeti MEZON and Hacker "MasterMEZON" ESC's are the same. -All Hacker seem to do is to put "Master" in front of the name Jeti have chosen. Anyway, all Hacker ESC's have the Jeto logo on, showing that they are Jeti ESC's, and there is no secret about this -

2. When we look at the order in which stored data is downloaded from a Jeti SPIN or a Jeti SPIN Pro ESC -guess what ? -It is
IDENTICAL to the data download order for Turnigy dlux and for BMI Data Log ESC's. The download order for dlux and for BMI ESC's was shown earlier, in post #43 of this thread -
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=11459920.

3. Here is order of downloaded data for a Jeti SPIN and SPIN Pro ESC:
JETI SPIN Manual=Hacker MasterSpin Manual (11A to 66A BEC; 44 to 300A OPTO) (no S-BEC on these ESC's)
SPIN ESC Manual :

SPIN PRO ESCManual:

-Manual Setting, using Tx:
Choose Mode: Acro inrunner, Acro outrunner, Glider inrunner, Heli constant RPM, 6 modes etc
-Setting with Jetibox:

Min. Temperature

Errors

As you can see, the data parameters stored and the order in which they are downloaded, are completely
IDENTICAL to that for Turnigy dlux and for BMI Data Log ESC's.
-This simply cannot be a pure coincidence. What it shows, is that Turnigy dlux and BMI Data Log ESC's have some similar genealogy to Jeti ESC's. It shows that some of the software for these ESC's is similar. It shows there is anextremely good chance that Jeti / HackerESC's are made in the same Sunray factory as Turnigy dlux and BMIData Log ESC's.It also suggests thatTurnigy dlux and BMI ESC'smay well have a cut down version of Jeti ESCsoftware / programming installed into them.

4. There are3 other facts that very strongly suggest a common genealogy between Jeti ESC'sand BMI / Turnigy dlux ESC's. First, the BMI Data Log ESC's use a program box that is the same as the Jeti program box (see pics below). And of course OK Hobby Infinite ESC's use exactly the same program box, and they are also manufactured by Sunray Tech.

5. A furtherpoint is that we
know very well that all Hacker outrunner motors, and all Hacker X-Pro ESC's, are manufactured by Sunray Technology. There are clearly some close and very long-standing ties between Hacker and Sunray Tech.
-We also know that Hacker and Jeti have been associated very closely together for quite a fewyears, regarding ESC's. Since most of the Hacker-branded items are made at Sunray Technology, and because Hacker and Jeti are extremely closely associated, then it is easy to makethe simple logical connection that all Jeti ESC's are very likely also to be manufactured by Sunray Technology.
6. A final piece of evidence also links Jeti ESC's to other Sunray-manufactured ESC's. The underside of a Jeti Advance 99 or a Jeti Spin 99 / Spin Pro 99 looks
IDENTICAL to the underside of a Gens Ace 90A HV ESC, a LiPolice 100A HVESC, oran OK Hobby Infinite 100AHV ESC. We know that Gens Ace ESC's, LiPolice ESC's and OK Hobby Infinite ESC's are all manufactured by Sunray Tech. It therefore follows that almost certainly, all Jeti Advance and Jeti SPIN / SPINPro ESC's will also be manufactured by Sunray Technology.
It seems reasonable to conclude that all Jeti ESC's are almost certainly manufactured by Sunray Technology, in China.

the important point is that they use the same box.)
