Default RE: Which chinese factories make various brushless motor brands?

ORIGINAL: wallace.tharp: Why the Hacker at 3 times the price? ... Why do people drive the Benz & BMW? Kind of joking, but, of my 5 or so electrics, the 3 Hackers have never missed a lick ... I love the purple... kind of like the beauty of the BMW or Benz
Wallace, thanks very much indeed for posting. <span style="font-size: small">Please DO continue to contribute. I also hope that many other people will contribute.</span></p>

I hear what you are saying, Wallace, about Hacker motors. BUT: The real point is that Hacker motors are <span style="font-size: small">EXACTLY</span> the same, made with all the same identical parts, in the same Sunray factory, as: E-F Torque, Hyperion-Z; Shulman Aviation FURY, Gens Ace, Common-Sense-RC, LiPolice -and all the other "Sunraybrands"</p>

I have tested on my Motor Thrust Stand: HACKER A10-9 L vs TURNIGY SK3 2122-1570Kv vs GENS ACE 2122-1580Kv
-<span style="font-size: small">They gave TOTALLY identical results</span>, with currents for each prop almost identical, and thrust within 10g of each other ...
-It is clear that they are underneath, the very same motor ...</p>

I have also tested on my Motor Thrust Stand: HACKER A20-22 L, 924Kv vs TURNIGY SK3 2830-920Kv vs GENS ACE 2726-960Kv
-<span style="font-size: small">They gave TOTALLY identical results</span>, with currents almost identical, thrust within a few g of each other ...
The motors are indistinguishable ... -They are exactly the same motor ..</p>

I have also just tested (yesterday) on my Motor Thrust Stand: HACKER A30-12 L 1000Kv vs TURNIGY SK3 3542-1000kv
-<span style="font-size: small">These motors also gave TOTALLY identical results, </span>with currents almost identical for each prop, and thrust for each prop very similar indeed...
(See attached PRELIMINARY data sheets for these 2 motors)
<span style="font-size: small">I JUST COULD NOT BELIEVE IT -THEY WERE SO SPOOKILY, INCREDIBLY CLOSE ...
THEY ARE SO VERY VERY OBVIOUSLY -EXACTLY THE SAME MOTOR ...</span><span style="font-size: medium">
</span> -They just have different clothes on (i.e. a slightly different outer case), but underneath the outer clothes, they are totally IDENTICAL
And their performance is also TOTALLY AND ABSOLUTELY IDENTICAL -even down to the current generated, and thrust produced ...
<span style="font-size: small">They are exactly the same motor -There is just no doubt about it, at all ...
-</span>
<span style="font-size: small">And of course, </span><span style="font-size: medium"><u>the Turnigy SK3 only costs 27% of the Hacker -for a totally identical motor</u></span></p>

Referring to your analogy about cars: Would you buy a Mercedes Benz for $100,000 -when it is EXACTLY the same identical car underneath as a $20,000 Ford ?(i.e. If it had exactly the same engine, gearbox, chassis, suspension, and every other working part was identical ...) -When the ONLY difference is that the outer body shell of the Mercedes is a different shape and colour ?</p>

-Because that is PRECISELY what we are seeing with Hacker motors.
We have all had this idea for some years, that Hacker motors might in some way be "better", be "higher quality", or have "superior performance"
-when in reality Hacker motors are just one of the many brands produced by Sunray Technology
-and Hacker motors are completely IDENTICAL internally -and also totally identical for performance -to all the other brands i.e. E-F Torque, Turnigy SK3, Hyperion-Z; Gens Ace, Common-Sense-RC, LiPolice etc etc etc</p>

The ONLY difference between Hacker and all the rest, is that Hacker are purple on the outside, and they have the name "Hacker" printed on the outside
-And that they cost 4 or 5 times more than many of the other totally identical motors(e.g. Hyperion-Z, Turnigy SK3, LiPolice etc etc ... )</p>

<span style="font-size: medium">QED .... ?</span></p>

<span style="font-size: small">In reality, I can see now that it has all been a big con trick by Mr Hacker ...
It has all been down to clever marketing and publicity ...
-To somehow make us all think that Hacker motors might be "different" from, and "better" thanthe other brands ...
</span><span style="font-size: small">BUT: There is just no basis for this idea at all.-Scientific and objective tests and results are now showing very clearly indeed, that Hacker motors are just the same as all the other motor brands ...

<span style="font-size: x-small">
</span></span>
<span style="font-size: small"><span style="font-size: x-small">Pics show: 1, Preliminary test results for TURNIGY SK3 3542-1000kv; 2, Preliminary test results for HACKER A30-12 L 1000Kv
-These 2 motors are almost identical -Indeed, it could be results fromtwo different Hacker A30-12 L motors-they are that close ...
-Please note these results are very recent -and more tests will be done, with different and larger props ...
